Your Responsibilities:
Lead, assess, and develop direct report(s) to deliver value-added HR services in support of the ACC strategic plan and HR strategy
Create and execute a comprehensive HR operations plan that minimizes organizational risk and maximizes business performance
Manage employee and manager inquiries through an HR Service Center using formal case management methodology; track inquiries and provide best advice on resolution of systemic issues
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations; provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Partner with the Learning & Development CoE to deliver training and information campaigns aligned with company policy and emerging trends
Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters
Assist in developing contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers
Champion a workplace culture built on trust, motivation, and employee excellence
Skill and Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field required
7+ years’ HR experience in a multistate or geographically dispersed organization (or equivalent combination of education and experience); specific experience with employee relations, workplace investigations, leave management, and accommodations required
PC proficiency required, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS software
Proven ability to build partnerships and collaborate across organizational lines and leadership levels
Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity under high-pressure situations
High-quality judgment and sound decision-making with the ability to remain objective in all situations
Strong interviewing skills and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Analytical thinker and problem solver with the ability to recognize trends and provide solutions
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple competing priorities
Ability to be seen as a leader, advisor, and advocate; acts with a sense of urgency and a bias for action
Knowledge of or experience working in rural Alaska communities considered an asset
Working Conditions:
Based in Anchorage, AK, in a fast-paced, in-office head office environment
Work is primarily computer-based, with extended periods of sitting or standing
Regular collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership across the organization
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
