The Assistant Manager for Span Elite is accountable in assisting Span Elite Manager in all staff, customer, and distribution-related activities of the company, including purchasing, receiving, selling, shipping, and controlling inventory with a focus on efficiency, productivity, compliance and safety.

Your Responsibilities:
Work closely with Span Elite personnel to oversee compliant packing, labeling, and shipping practices, reducing the risk of penalties or delays and ensuring cost-effective delivery.
Inspect the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment, initiating corrective actions as needed to ensure safe, secure, and efficient working conditions and to protect merchandise throughout receiving, storage, and shipping processes.
Supervise and support Span Elite personnel in the daily movement of merchandise into, within, and out of the warehouse to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established procedures.
Coordinate and deliver required warehouse safety training to ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable safety regulations.
Communicate regularly with the Span Elite Manager regarding productivity trends, safety observations, and any issues identified during daily oversight of warehouse personnel and equipment.
Perform essential Span Elite Manager duties as needed, including during periods of absence or increased workload. These responsibilities include purchasing, receiving, selling, attending meetings, addressing customer concerns promptly, and communicating with management to seek guidance on resolving employee, customer, or distribution-related issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum two-year college degree or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills prefer window base programs.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Must be able to frequently lift and move 70lbs.
Must be able to operate forklift, hand-trucks, pallet jacks, standard safety equipment, and various office equipment.
